Privacy Policy for PDF Master

Last Updated: May 17, 2026

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy describes how PDF Master ("we," "our," or "us") handles, processes, and protects your information when you use our Windows desktop application (the "App").

1. Local Client-Side Processing (No Document Uploads)

PDF Master operates on a privacy-first document processing philosophy. Although the App utilizes WebView2 to securely load the web-based document workspace from our servers, your document files remain entirely under your control.

  • Client-Side Processing: All PDF viewing, text editing, digital signing, vector shape drawing, interactive form filling, and image insertions are processed strictly client-side inside the local memory of the WebView2 container on your device.
  • No Cloud Document Uploads: Your opened PDF files, hand-drawn signatures, and document modifications are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on our servers or any third-party cloud platforms. All file loading and exporting are handled locally.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Because the App runs completely locally on your machine, we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, including but not limited to:

  • Your name, email address, physical address, or phone number.
  • The contents, text, images, or metadata of the PDF files you open or edit.
  • Your hand-drawn signatures or digital sign fields.
  • Your in-app screenshot captures or custom drawing annotations.

3. Third-Party Services & Licensing

PDF Master integrates with secure standard services provided by Microsoft to manage licensing and app stability:

  • Microsoft Store Billing: All trial activations, subscription purchases, and purchase restorations are processed securely by Microsoft. We do not collect or store your credit card information, bank details, or transactional data. Payment processing is governed by Microsoft's Privacy Policy.
  • Diagnostics & Error Reporting: Standard, non-personally identifiable diagnostic logs (such as crash dump data) may be collected by the Microsoft Store if you have opted-in to share telemetry at the operating system level, helping us improve the App's stability.

4. Permissions Used by the App

To deliver its core features, the App requests standard local system permissions:

  • File Access: Required locally to let you open, view, modify, and save PDF files on your computer.
  • Internet Access: Used solely to load the embedded PDF viewer workspace and verify active licensing states with the Microsoft Store.

5. Children's Privacy

Our App does not collect any personal data. It is safe for use by individuals of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in regulatory standards or App updates. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
