1. Introduction & Overview

Welcome to Flipbook Maker – PDF to Flipbook ("FlipView", "we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive, safe experience using our Windows application, cloud services, and web reader viewers.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we process and store it, how we safeguard your PDF documents and account data, and your rights under applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Microsoft Store Application Developer Policies.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account & Registration Data

  • User Profile: When you register or sign in, we collect your Email Address, Full Name (optional), and an encrypted password hash. We never store plain-text passwords.
  • Authentication Tokens: Secure session tokens stored locally on your device in the Windows Credential Locker to maintain your login session.

B. User-Uploaded Content & Publications

  • PDF Files & Vector Assets: PDF documents you upload to convert into interactive 3D flipbooks.
  • Publication Metadata: Titles, categories, descriptions, author names, cover previews, page counts, and visibility preferences (Public, Unlisted, or Password-Protected).

C. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

  • Transactions are processed securely through the Microsoft Store Billing API. We receive anonymous subscription entitlement confirmations (e.g., active plan type: Free, Professional, Business Enterprise) and expiration dates. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card or financial payment details.

D. Readership & Viewer Analytics

  • Anonymous Reader Events: When readers open public flipbooks, we collect aggregated metrics: view counts, page turn events, session duration, and anonymized screen dimensions to optimize book rendering. No personally identifiable reader data is sold or shared.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information strictly for:

  1. Converting and rendering your PDF documents into high-resolution vector canvas 3D interactive flipbooks.
  2. Storing and streaming flipbook pages to public web readers and in-app viewers.
  3. Managing cloud storage quotas, active publication limits, and subscription features.
  4. Providing real-time readership analytics and engagement metrics in your personal dashboard.
  5. Authenticating your identity and synchronizing your publications across your Windows App and Web viewers.

4. Cloud Storage, Security & Data Protection

  • Cloud Storage Infrastructure: All uploaded PDF files, vector pages, and cover artwork are securely stored in Cloudflare R2 Object Storage with TLS/SSL encryption in transit (HTTPS) and encryption at rest.
  • Zero Unauthorized Access: Private and unlisted publications are only accessible via direct unique URLs or password encryption set by the author.
  • No Data Selling: We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal data or uploaded PDF content to third parties or advertising networks.

5. Your Rights & Data Retention

  • Deletion & Modification: You can update metadata, change publication visibility, or permanently delete any flipbook at any time directly from the Windows App Dashboard or My Flipbooks tab. Deleting a publication immediately removes the files from our cloud storage and database.
  • Account Deletion: You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated publications by contacting us through our support channels.
  • Data Portability: You can download your original PDF files directly from the app or reader at any time (if download permission is enabled).
